The 5 Best Liquid Iron Products For Lawns + I’ve Used Them All

best liquid iron for lawn
The best liquid iron for lawns also include Nitrogen so improve Iron uptake and use.

These are the best products to add liquid iron to your lawn. These are all chelated for maximum foliar absorption and when applied to dry non-dormant grass leaf material should result in a deeper green in only a couple days.

Of the five listed below I use Lawnbright’s product more than the others because it also adds trace amounts of nitrogen into the mix which won’t provide a large growth push but will push a lengthening of the greening effect.

Lawnbright’s Iron Boost || 15-0-0 + 6% Fe

For subtle and low maintenance of yellowing turf then Southern Ag’s product is a great way to easily add a bit of iron to the lawn every time you spray anything on your grass. It’s a lower concentration formula so it’s better for routine application at a lower overall price.

Southern Ag’s Liquid Iron || 5% Fe

As an alternative to Lawnbright’s 15% Iron Boost product Simple Lawn Solution offers this similar concentration but with only 5% Nitrogen. It may be cheaper for some people to buy as well since it is easily found on Amazon.

Simple Lawn Solution’s Iron Lawn Booster || 5% Fe + 6% N

For those that simply want the highest dose of liquid Iron per application at the lowest price possible than either Petra Tools or Lawn Star Iron fertilizers will give you up to 6% Fe per application based on label rates without adding anything extra into the mix.

Lawnstar’s Liquid Iron || 6% Fe
Petra Tool’s Liquid Iron Max || 6% Fe

Lastly, if you are thinking about applying a granule Iron product like Ironite then make sure to watch this video I made where I compared four different strength doses of Ironite to my lawn compared to a liquid product.

In stunning results a huge over-dose of Ironite resulted in less of a color change than a standard dose of Southern Ag’s liquid Iron.
